It is a pleasure to announce the launch of TheJournal of Sclerotherapy , created by Alessandro Frullini – Honorary President of the Italian Association of Phlebology (AFI) – and his team.
After more than 25 years as an indispensable therapy for varicose veins, sclerotherapy now has its own dedicated journal – a milestone for our field. In his opening article, “Sclerotherapy: A New Era” (Journal of Sclerotherapy 2025 January–December; 1(1):1–2), Frullini writes:
“The Journal of Sclerotherapy aims to be part of this cultural shift by gathering and promoting ideas, stimulating unbiased discussion to spread sclerotherapy in all fields.
We invite you to submit your contributions, which can be in the form of original articles, reviews, case reports, guidelines, letters to the editor, or in the special “how I do it” category. All proposals will be carefully evaluated and peer-reviewed by physicians with expertise in sclerotherapy”
Please feel free to share this information with your colleagues, key opinion leaders, and both experienced and young doctors. Encourage them to publish their own findings, so that together we can “make it our own official journal”.
